Heavy absorbency: Designed for heavy days and optimum accessibility.

Absorbs up to 9 tampons or 5 pads of flow.

Hi! I’m the new adaptive Period. The most important thing you need to know about me, first of all, is that I’m new. The old adaptive was a great start, but between you and I, there was a lot of community feedback and suggestions for improvement, and voila! I was created! The new amazing adaptive - yes, I added an adjective, because I am amazing - people who period don’t have to get in and out of me, they can open and close the side fasteners. See, amazing! While I’m grateful for the old adaptive in paving the way in comfort, ease of getting in and out, and absorbency, I have to say me - the new one - has really taken it up a few notches in terms of the Velcro fasteners and the overall shape. Not everything new is better, but in this case, wow! It is. Don’t worry about the old adaptive. They’re sipping Pina Coladas on a beach somewhere. I’m here now. New. New. New. New. New. New.

When to wear: day or night, on heavy or light days. For those who love easy access, this will be a favorite.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

Personal message from soil: I know it’s highly unusual to get a message from soil but in this case, I just had to say thank you. Just by using one pair of Period underwear, you’re saving the natural world from 9 tampons or 4 pads being thrown away and (because they don’t biodegrade) polluting the Earth for generations. From me and all my microbes - thank you.

    Nope

Velcro is scratchy and painful. Wish I could return them, as they're only an extreme emergency backup for sleeping.

    Very uncomfortable

I bought a pair of these for myself and one for my daughter. We both had the same experience, the Velcro area was very uncomfortable and scratchy when we tried to wear them. She wore hers for a few hours and they really irritated her skin because of the Velcro area. I tried them and couldn’t wear them longer than 20 minutes because they were too irritating. We’ve tried several other products that we love, but these just aren’t comfortable at all.

    A no for me

Wanted to love this so bad but it’s the Velcro I don’t like! Great concept but I find it hurts my skin. Wish I could return. Love every other product I’ve purchased from this company except this :(

Love the side snaps as easy

Side snaps don’t have to take off shoes as I may be at work as I work in the kitchen and running water makes me have to hurry to bathroom but now I don’t have to worry if I can’t run, as I can switch at work with the side snaps. So thanks as I use for Incontience as your period representative said same product for both period or Incontience and my daughter loved so I tried.

    Love carol

    Not great

DO NOT BUY. Unless you just wear it to bed. But walking around it in it, is very uncomfortable! The velcro bunches up and it’s hard, when you sit it pokes into your lower hip. The material is so soft. More soft than the others! When I put it on for the first time one night it was great! Didn’t bother me in my sleep at all. Couple days later I decided to wear them to work and that was a bad idea!
