Heavy absorbency: designed for heavy days and first periods that are finding their rhythm.

Absorbs up to 9 tampons of flow and 5 pads.

Hi! I’m designed for people who are new to the world of periods and let me just say welcome! I’m in a classic underwear shape, so I feel and look just like regular underwear but I have a four-layer towel system, which means I can absorb your period. When you first start, your period can take a while to regularize - so I’m great for whatever flow you’re going through. It’s really important when you start wearing me, to figure out your flow threshold i.e. how many hours you can flow for in me because everybody periods differently. Oh, and I did I mention how soft I am?

When to wear: any day of a junior period.

Trying to do period math? Click here to work out how many pairs you need for your period according to your Flow Threshold.

This style is intended for teenagers or petite adults and runs true to size.

Teens should order their most standard size.

A women's extra small can comfortably fit in a juniors medium.

A women's small can comfortably fit in a juniors large.

You can see our size chart here.

Our Fabrics

Body: 95% Organic Cotton with 5% Spandex Jersey

Absorbent Layer: 100% Polyester

Leak Resistant Layer: 100% Polyester PUL

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 10 tbls, or 8-10 tampons, worth of blood.

Check out our absorbency test video here.

You can see the length of the absorbent panel here.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

Personal message from The Sky: Hi, as you can imagine, I’ve seen everything, but today I’m seeing something new. A new generation leading the way in non-disposable period products and protecting the Earth. What a sight! Thank you.

    Love!!

These made me feel super secure. They’re a great pair for sleeping in because the coverage extends all the way up the front and all the way up the back to protect from any kinds of leaks. The sizing they recommended for smaller adults was accurate. I fit an XS in the non-junior version underwear and the medium in this one fit great. For reference, I’m 5’3” and 100lbs. The gray cotton fabric is thick and high quality. I’m super happy with these!!

    Such a great product

I bought these for my daughter. She tried another brand and it did nothing for her. She LOVES the period brand. She says she feels like nothing is going to leak out, and she likes that the absorbing part goes up to the waist line.
