Let it flow!
Dear Friends,
When we first started Period. we made an promise to never be a brand that tells people what to do - other than to flow ;) So to be clear this isn’t a blog post telling you how to get love out there for the simple reason that you already know how to do that. We all love so much! Each other, our close ones, our animals, the trees in our yard. Loving is in all of our natures. Despite everything, humans do so many extraordinary loving acts a day. So how do we get the thing that we really know how to do out to the world at the time when it’s needed the most?
Well - we’re going to need a lot more emails/conversations to even get close to a big answer. But one thing we’ve been doing recently at Period., is smiling at people that we don’t know. When you pass an unfamiliar human being on the street, there’s that second when you realize that one of you is about to take the most extraordinary risk… a smile. Usually it’s just a small one, testing the water. Then the other person takes a risk. They smile back! And you’re so thrilled to have your smile returned that your smile now gets even bigger. Now their smile gets bigger! And your smile gets bigger! And theirs! Then you both go on with your days, which just got so much better because that was an unexpected hit of love.
Let it flow!
X Period.
Ps sometimes someone might not return the smile - that’s okay too. The important thing is to put it out there.
