The Sporty. High Waisted is made from our PeriodTech® fabric - a super stretchy Nylon and Spandex knit that moves with you. As always, the gusset is made with organic cotton.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse any fresh blood off in the sink or the shower.

Hang to dry then add to your laundry pile. 

Machine wash warm, no bleach.

Tumble dry low. Do not dry clean or iron. 

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Finally, when I choose “period” underwear they are the nicest ones in my drawer, not the old raggedy ones that I don’t care if I stain. These are so comfortable I want to wear them even when I’m not on my period.

    PERFECT for heavy flows and overnight

    I did not have an odor and could wear them overnight and could sleep in any position without leaks! This almost NEVER happens with pads I would wear. Before these I would wear the always overnight disposable underwear but didn't like them for several reasons. 1- they had a weird odor like a perfume which made my own odor smell off, 2- they were a disaster to try and get off, and lastly I would still leak in these especially if I tried to sleep on my back. I purchased 4 to try out and I for example have one heavy flow day and the rest is medium/light but I was only able to make it about 3 hours before I would leak so I would ideally need to purchase 2 more to make it though the day/night.

    I would highly recommend these! They feel cleaner than wearing pads which I would still leak in (even at changing every 2 hours on the heavy day) and are more reliable.

    I was not sure what to expect. I am very happy to say that I'm highly satisfied! The fit was spot on, the protection is 10/10 highly recommend! I have to admit that I was nervous as my flow is quite heavy due to fibroids. I did not experience any leak thru or accidents. I'm so thankful to have found this product!

    Game changer!!!

    I am soo impressed!! Honestly I don’t know how I’ve bleed for so long without them! I was shopping for my oldest daughter who is just beginning her journey and I’m so thrilled that she will never have to know anything else! We both love them! It was the most comfortable, least messy(actually no mess at all!), most wonderful period of my life!
