The Sporty. Bikini is made from our PeriodTech® fabric - a super stretchy Nylon and Spandex knit that moves with you. As always, the gusset is made with organic cotton.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse any fresh blood off in the sink or the shower.

Hang to dry then add to your laundry pile. 

Machine wash warm, no bleach.

Tumble dry low. Do not dry clean or iron. 

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 10 tbls, or 8-10 tampons, worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    i have such mixed feelings because i really like this product but the material has been coming undone and i haven't had it for very long at all. it is super comfortable and absorbs well, but every time i wear it, i keep having to cut threads of it off because the material is literally unraveling. another product i bought previously had a similar issue but i thought it was just that particular one. i wish the material was more durable and didn't come undone so easily and so quickly.

    I love these! They are way more comfortable than regular underwear. And they are so absorbent! I am shocked. My periods are very heavy, so I have to wear pads with tampons. I was able to wear these for an entire day as back up instead of a maxi pad. It’s so much more comfortable to wear than a pad. Highly recommend!

    This underwear is comfortable, true to size, and protects well during heavy-flow days and overnight—no more stained clothing or sheets. The 95% cotton top gusset layer is also more comfortable than any other r brand I’ve tried.

    A great upgrade from older Period. Undies

    I bought my first pairs of Period. undies back in 2020 and still reach for them every day of my period, but I find them heavier and not great for active days. I wanted to give the SportyStretch a try and I LOVE THEM!!! so much lighter feeling, very absorbant, and I'm impressed how little smell they have after a full day wear (in comparison to older models). Excited to have these in my rotation!!
