The Sporty. Bikini is made from our PeriodTech™ fabric - a super stretchy Nylon and Spandex knit that moves with you. As always, the gusset is made with organic cotton.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 10 tbls, or 8-10 tampons, worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    I'm kinda disappointed with how obvious the lines are on the underwear. I thought that it would be seamless enough to wear while I run or exercise with my spandex but it's too noticeable. I know it's got extra coverage and protection, however I wished that it could've passed more as like shorts. It's not shorts, I'm just saying as if were as seamless as one. I'm most likely going to only wear them at home. I would've liked to use them outside of home too though.

    100% would recommend, they are amazing!

    I bought these for my daughter (17yo) trying to make a healthier choice for her periods. She was very skeptical but a good sport and gave them a try for me. Her first day is the heaviest and she went all in, no pad back up. She was so excited that they were so comfortable and shocked when she went to rinse them for the wash at just how much they held. We bought 4 and unfortunately 1 pair fell apart after the second wash. I contacted the company and in just a few hours I had a response with an order number for my replacement pair! We bought 4 at first but we will be definitely be buying more for more flexibility in wash routines. I’d highly recommend these for everyone. A great alternative to the chemical filled tampons and pads. My youngest will definitely be starting with these when she’s old enough to need them.
