Hi! I’m super-super-super absorbent and designed to handle the heaviest days of a period. I’m made of soft, comfy organic cotton and have a four-layer padded towel absorbency that holds your flow. I have a wicking layer on top, so I can absorb the blood super fast with no wetness. You will feel padding, but frankly, on those heavy days, feeling secure, safe, and leak proof is a pretty great feeling, alongside being so comfy and cozy. Warning: after you use me once, you will look at tampons and disposable pads and pretend you don’t know them. Be cold. They deserve it. 

When to wear: on your heaviest days. Also great for postpartum and perimenopause.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

None, zero, nada, zilch. We are proud to be one of the few period underwear brands that do not use any toxins in our products because who wants chemicals near the most sensitive part of their body? Not us. Or you.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 10 tablespoons, or 8-10 tampons, worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Best period undies

    I sized up and it's a little big but not overly so. Better than having it dig in when everything already suuuuucks. But they're so comfy, and they do exactly what i need them to! Rinsing was easy, kinda surprised at how much blood they hold!

    Love these for feeling bulletproof!

    I'm still using my set from, like, 2020 and just ordered more! I love these for overnights and days where I just frankly can't be bothered to pay attention to flow. Slide a pair on and I'm good to go! They're not my favorite for steamy summer days though - they do start to feel a little thick crammed into jean shorts. Trying out the microfiber for those days!

    I’m a longtime Thinx user and I heard about these online somewhere, can’t remember where exactly. The lower price per pair, the commitment to being PFAS-free, the design being similar to Thinx’s now-retired cotton brief design (rip) in a way that I liked… I figured I should give y’all a try because my old standbys from Thinx had gotten accidentally tossed in the dryer too many times anyway and were losing their absorbency. Anyway, I’m so glad I did!!! I went a whole 8+ hours without having to change on one of the heavier days of my period. Couldn’t say that about Thinx. The fit is great, too - delightfully high-waisted, handles bloating/extension like a champ. Thank you, thank you, thank you. These are my new go-tos from here on out!
