Hi. I’m the perfect pair of high-waisted for when your flow begins to lessen, or for birth control periods. What’s a birth control period!? Well, when you just don’t know what’s coming. I’ve got light padding so I’m great for bulky-phobes but you’ll be shocked at how absorbent I am. Not toxic shocked though! Phew. Let’s leave that to the tampons. I’m also great for periods that can’t quite end and for panty-liner lovers. I’m made from super soft brushed microfiber with an organic cotton gusset. I also bring a light mood with me. You’re welcome.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Medium Flow Period. underwear can hold up to 4 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Switched from another style to these

    The high-waisted sporty stretch has been having some stitching issues, so I decided to try these. They are very comfortable and don't roll down if you have some mama/menopause belly. So far I actually am liking them better than the sporty stretch, they seem more breathable and very soft, though you might stick with sporty stretch for days/times you need more security. The only two things I wish about these are: 1. A wide waistband like the sporty stretch has, and 2. More colors. Right now it's just mauve and black. I started wearing period panties during perimenopause when my period would just show up out of the blue. I have a job where I can't just leave right away, so knowing I had protection in case my period started up again after three days or 2 weeks or just a quick "hello, remember me?" made me less anxious. I am now officially postmenopausal and have just kept wearing them because they are comfortable and great for that sneeze- or laugh- or jumping-pee many of us moms and older women know can happen on occasion...

    I love these panties! Over all they’re comfortable and I have not had any accidents in bed. Pretty discreet but you can see the lining where the padding is if your wearing form fitting clothing like sweats or leggings. On the 2nd day of my menstrual I noticed spillage onto the side of the panties in the crotch area after a nights rest (from the first night). The following day I notice leaking through a small amount onto the crotch area of my sweat pants. My flow is medium however I think I’ll invest in a pair for a heavier flow just for an unpredictable day. I would recommend and I will continue to use it to see which style better suits my cycle! You may have to play around with a few pairs. I am an XL (size 14 jeans).

    Ok I guess but too thick and comes up too high to not show the bulge under your tight clothing but there is a lining that keeps the seam from rubbing you bottom

    They work great and are extremely soft and comfy. The material is also very stretchy, which is a huge plus.
