Hi! I’m super-super-super absorbent and designed to handle the heaviest days of a period. I’m made of soft, comfy organic cotton and have a four-layer padded towel absorbency that holds your flow. I have a wicking layer on top, so I can absorb the blood super fast with no wetness. You will feel padding, but frankly, on those heavy days, feeling secure, safe, and leak proof is a pretty great feeling, alongside being so comfy and cozy. Warning: after you use me once, you will look at tampons and disposable pads and pretend you don’t know them. Be cold. They deserve it. 

When to wear: on your heaviest days. Also great for postpartum and perimenopause.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

None, zero, nada, zilch. We are proud to be one of the few period underwear brands that do not use any toxins in our products because who wants chemicals near the most sensitive part of their body? Not us. Or you.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Lifesavers. The best!

    They work perfect for my heavy days and light days - so comfortable and dependable. The lining in the back is visible in thinner pants, but I honestly don’t care. Also, SO AFFORDABLE compared to other brands!!

    Best investment ever!!

    Absolutely fantastic—it’s made that time of month so much more bearable and comfortable! The peace of mind and not having to worry about my pad shifting and leaking has been so nice ❤️ I did a lot of research about different brands of period underwear and wanted to find a kind that was natural fabric against my skin, cheap, and lasted well. I definitely found it here!!

    I ordered from this company twice. I thought the first time that I ordered. I just got a bad couple of pair of underwear because the elastic in the leg ripped out the first time I wore them. This was my second attempt. The same thing happened to two more of the pairs although they did make it the whole day and only came out of the washer with problems. I've had other period underwear that lasts literally for over a year with no issues. And they didn't cost as much as these did.

    Works well. Doesn’t hold up long…

    Love this pair but the stitching started coming out after the second wash…

    Disappointing so I won’t be buying another pair now but maybe in the future if I hear Period.’s quality has improved because I love the product! It’s a great alternative to tampons.

    Honestly, seeing the other reviews made me question buying these and also question if these are a hit or miss…I must’ve gotten a hit because I love these. As a teacher, running around with little time for a restroom break, overstimulation, and anxiety already maxes my daily energy. Add period cramps, nausea, and fatigue…and my cup runeth over. These underwear saved me both time and stress; truly relieving me of spillage (metaphorically and physically).

    I put these on last night (11pm) as I was noticing the start (and Xavier-LDS- gave me a heads up) and didn’t take them off until 8pm, as I had to help my cousin move directly after work. In all this I was comfortable and never leaked. I brought spare underwear and a pad just in case….but I never needed it. For reference, I usually go through four-ish heavy pads on my first day and I bought a size L.

    These kids were really trying me today too…but I was in high spirits and carefree thanks to these! They don’t take too long to wash either; I’ve used them three times now and they have been great.

    I will be getting more (purchased at Walmart).
