Hi, I’m the Heavy High Waisted with an Extended Gusset. If I could, I would have called myself The Heavy Heavy High Waisted. I’m the exact same style as your favorite Heavy High Waisted Period. but with one big difference - I have an extended absorbent gusset that goes all the way from the top of the front to the top of the back. In other words, my absorbent panel is maxed out to as far as you can take it, so you can have even more confidence in going leak-free. I’m perfect for those first few heavy days when you might be back-flowing, front-flowing, or everywhere-flowing. It’s okay. We’ve all been there. I’m super soft, made of comfy cotton, and here to give you the super safe feeling that we all want on our heavy days.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Huge jump in size from L to XL

    While I will say I love the extra coverage of the rear liner on these the size jump from L to XL is crazy. I previously purchased L but after gaining 20lbs they were snug so this order I sized up to the XL and they are literally hanging off around the crotch and leg holes. I have used only this brand for the last few years and normally I love it but it was super disappointing to order the next size up only to find out it is so much bigger

    Request The Extra Coverage Period in sporty Stretch

    I have bought several pairs of your bikini XL in sporty stretch period for heavy flows. I use them for the pee problem. I seemed to still leak a little, I needed more coverage in the front. Since the XL were really big, I tried wearing them backwards. It worked great. No leaks at all. I suggest you reverse the gusset. Put the back up front and the front in the back. Or better yet, have the gusset go to the top of the underwear on both sides. I know I would be willing to pay more for the extra coverage. I'm waiting to get the rose color when they are back in stock. Also, I wished they came in more colors. I have bought the really expensive leakproof undies and have found that they don't absorb any more than your product, I wear them backwards too.

    Best Night's Sleep Ever!!!

    Usually, I have a horrible time sleeping on the first night or 2 of my period. Whether it's cramps or constantly worrying if I'm leaking on my heavy days, I just know I won't be comfortable until night 3 or 4. But not with this! The first night I wore this was the first night of my period, and I slept so well that it's hard to put into words! I never knew how much I was stressing about tossing and turning at night until I suddenly didn't need to anymore. I knew that the Extra Coverage had me covered all night, and I could sleep peacefully to my hearts content! I can't wait to get another one (or two), I don't know why I didn't try The Period Company sooner!

    Love These!

    The quality of pads have been declining and the really goods ones are often times hard to find on shelves nowadays. Thus, I truly needed a back up plan. I love the extra high waisted period panties. I move around a lot at work and pads usually spill over because of the awkward postures I sometimes find myself in to get my job done. I don’t have any spillage problems with these undies!! Truly amazing. Highly recommend. Average wear time is 6h with light to moderate flows. Wear time will vary for each person based on heaviness of flow and odor control.
