Yup. I’m for those days when your period has your foot down on the flow pedal. I have a little less fabric than the high-waisted, but with the same four-layer towel system I have just as much absorbency. My padding is designed to take whatever the flow throws, while making you feel extra secure and safe. Oh, did I also mention how cozy and comfy I am? Anything a tampon or pad can do, I can do so much better.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    Worth the money!

    Bought only one of these as a trial to see if I’d like them—glad to say I really did! I use a menstrual cup, but have an incredibly heavy flow especially on days 1-3. Been wanting to try period underwear and in my research, a lot of people have recommended The Period Company. Super glad I listened to them and tried these—I’m already buying some more!

    I love that these are so comfortable and they don’t pinch anywhere. I didn’t think I’d ever find myself with a pair of these but I do really like them. You don’t feel dirty or gross like a pad makes me feel. Definitely recommend trying!

    The sizing is wildly inconsistent. This is a medium but it’s huge. I laid another pair from the same company in a size medium on top of this one and it’s definitely not the same size. This one is at least a size Large, if not XL. I also received a size XS in a different style and it fits more like a S or M.

    The liner isn’t too bulky and has a sufficiently high gusset. However, it does not absorb discharge well, leaving you still feeling damp. The rise is slightly higher than expected for a bikini cut. Had to double check my order to make sure I hadn’t purchased briefs. Wish they hadn’t been out of black so I had to order pink.
