Super absorbent, sleek style made for heavy days.

Absorbs 9 tampons worth of flow or five pads.

Yup. I’m for those days when your period has your foot down on the flow pedal. I have a little less fabric than the high-waisted, but with the same four-layer towel system I have just as much absorbency. My padding is designed to take whatever the flow throws, while making you feel extra secure and safe. Oh, did I also mention how cozy and comfy I am? Anything a tampon or pad can do, I can do so much better.

When to wear:  On your heaviest days. Also great for postpartum and perimenopause.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

Message from an Octopus: Hi. I wanted to send you a personal message of gratitude for being conscious enough to stop using disposable products. Imagine me now, shaking your hand eight times. That’s what I’m doing. And sending you good energy with my two hearts. Tampons and pads take generations to biodegrade, cause endless pollution and they are frankly stupid inventions - and I should know what stupid is because I have eight brains. Be proud of yourself - you’re making a big change.

    game changer!

This is my first time using period underwear, and I will never go back to pads. Game changer! I love how comfortable they are, and they do not leak at all. I feel so secure and never have to worry about rushing to the bathroom over leakage. After each use I rinse them out thoroughly in my bathtub and use dr.bronners natural castile soap diluted in water to clean them. I found that to be the best method to keep things clean and natural as most laundry detergents are full of chemicals -Yuck! Washing them is a chore, but think about all the waste you are saving from landfills every month! Can't wait to order more.

Love Period, but cotton pairs seem to run small!

Let me start by saying, Period underwear are life changing! I couldn't believe it's taken so long for period underwear technology to be available. So glad girls today have this affordable option!

I will say, the cotton pairs seem to run small. Too tight in the waist to be comfy. However, periods customer service wasted no time helping me replace them.

They let me donate the too-small pairs instead of having to mail them back and then sent me the replacements I wanted. I posted about this experience on socials and many of my friends ordered just because of that! I've since ordered 4 more pairs in microfiber and sporty stretch. Thank you, Period!
