1 pair absorbs 9 tampons of flow

Heavy absorbency: designed for heavy days, mid-days, and most importantly, for everybody.

Absorbs up to 9 tampons or 5 pads of flow.

I’m a classic boxer shape designed to absorb period flow. But here’s the real headline: I’m for people who period, because not just women period. While I look and feel very un-periody, I have a four-layer towel system that can handle your period flow for hours and, with a wicking layer, can super absorb, so that you never experience any wetness. Made of organic cotton, I’m a little softer and cozier than a regular boxer, but that’s a nice feeling on your period.

When to wear: on heavy days, mid-days, and if you prefer a boxer period.

Trying to do period math? Click here to work out how many pairs you need for your period according to your Flow Threshold.

This style fits like a true boxer brief, if you want a more relaxed fit, we recommend sizing up!

You can see our size chart here.

Our Fabrics

Body: 95% Organic Cotton with 5% Spandex Jersey

Absorbent Layer: 100% Polyester

Leak Resistant Layer: 100% Polyester PUL

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

Check out our absorbency test video here.

You can see the length of the absorbent panel here.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

Message from a frog: you’re doing it, you’re saving the world from waste, and more than that, embracing a new way of thinking when it comes to periods. I am in awe. Enjoy the boxer!

    I love the

I already have multiple brands of period underwear. I decided to try these out, they just came in today and on first impression they looked huge and bulky but once I tried them on they were a PERFECT fit. I recommend sizing up I find ALL period underwear brands run small. I’m a XL in everything so I got a XXL and I am glad I did. I’m excited to be comfortable on my period! Switching to reusable brands has changed the game for me.

    Overall great!

the style, fit, and absorbency are fantastic! My only issue, and it is enough for me to be here writing about it, is the seam on the right side. It's pretty thick and sticks out far enough where I can feel it rubbing up against me and it is very uncomfortable. It also leaves an intended line on my side that only feels relief when I take it off. If there are redesigns I would LOVE for this to be modified! The seam is the only thing thats stopped me from stocking up enough for my whole period.

    Okay

I just bought a few pairs of these as a trans guy and they fit okay but they are so high waisted on me. They cover up my belly button and kinda feel like a diaper under my pants if I don’t keep them pulled up. Tighter around my thighs than around my hips. Would be great to have a boxer option for lighter flows instead of only heavy ones because mine aren’t super bad but I don’t want to wear women’s underwear. Could make boxer briefs that are easier to wear under pants like pair of thieves underwear. Overall fine.

Boxer Period in Organic Cotton for Heavy Flows

It’s a great period panty but ran large. Also,

Wish it came in more colors than just black. I prefer brighter colors.

Love the boxer, but I have notes about the fit...

Overall neutral, comfy, & close to the style I was looking for at a reasonable price. However, I ran into several fit issues with these boxers. I normally size up to M in underwear, but when I tried the mediums on, I was drowning in fabric. I tried a size S, thinking it'd fix the issue (I wear S in other period co styles). It did not. I (5'8") ended up having to size down to an XS on these boxers for a comfortable fit. Despite product images showing a mid-to-low rise, the waistband hits my bellybutton when sitting. I really hope that period co will offer a true low-rise version someday soon, because I have to roll the waistband down on these. I haven't tested the absorbency but their other styles are great on that front.
