The Sporty. Bikini is made from our PeriodTech® fabric - a super stretchy Nylon and Spandex knit that moves with you. As always, the gusset is made with organic cotton.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse any fresh blood off in the sink or the shower.

Hang to dry then add to your laundry pile. 

Machine wash warm, no bleach.

Tumble dry low. Do not dry clean or iron. 

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 10 tbls, or 8-10 tampons, worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    The best decision ever

    Oh my god I love these undies.

    I was so afraid at first but these really really do the job in keeping your period contained! I even wore it past the recommended time to test it out to see if it would start leaking(gross I know but just in case I ever have an emergency and can’t change right away) but it didn’t leak at all. My flow is pretty heavy the first two days and it was great not having to constantly change my pad/tampon.

    Best purchase ever! No leaking and no more harmful toxins from tampons and pads. Just try them! My flow is beyond heavy and I had no leaks with these underwear and I pushed it to the limits. No more changing overnight pads three to four times a night! Cleaning them is super easy too.

    If only I could give more stars!

    First off I'm definitely getting another pair. These were probably the most comfortable panties I have ever worn. I was nervous at first about wearing them all day until I put them on. The fit was seamless and nothing, I mean nothing leaked out. I wore them for over 8 hours. No leaks just comfort and confidence.

    Keeps it simple

    I'm REALLY enjoying the fact that I don't have to buy more of, fish in my purse for, unwrap, peel off, stick on, adjust, insert, pull out, wash off, wrap up, conceal, dispose of, or ask for anything when I have to use the bathroom. I just pull my panty back up lol You can't make it any easier than that.
