I’m a classic boxer shape designed to absorb period flow. But here’s the real headline: I’m for people who period, because not just women period. While I look and feel very un-periody, I have a four-layer towel system that can handle your period flow for hours and, with a wicking layer, can super absorb, so that you never experience any wetness. Made of organic cotton, I’m a little softer and cozier than a regular boxer, but that’s a nice feeling on your period.

How to take care of your Period.

Rinse for a few seconds.

Either hand wash and hang dry, or add to the laundry pile.

Regular wash, no bleach.

Tumble dry low or hang dry.

Do not dry clean.

Each pair of Period. underwear can hold up to 9 tampons worth of blood.

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

    I love the

    I already have multiple brands of period underwear. I decided to try these out, they just came in today and on first impression they looked huge and bulky but once I tried them on they were a PERFECT fit. I recommend sizing up I find ALL period underwear brands run small. I’m a XL in everything so I got a XXL and I am glad I did. I’m excited to be comfortable on my period! Switching to reusable brands has changed the game for me.

    Overall great!

    the style, fit, and absorbency are fantastic! My only issue, and it is enough for me to be here writing about it, is the seam on the right side. It's pretty thick and sticks out far enough where I can feel it rubbing up against me and it is very uncomfortable. It also leaves an intended line on my side that only feels relief when I take it off. If there are redesigns I would LOVE for this to be modified! The seam is the only thing thats stopped me from stocking up enough for my whole period.

    Awful fit and fabric

    I am so disappointed. I am in Canada and plus size period underwear is not readily available so I was excited to find reasonably priced larger sizes. I ordered 3 pairs of these for nighttime wear in 6x which 1-2 sizes larger than my regular underwear size, both because I know period undies run small and for my comfort. These are terrible. The fabric is stiff and lower stretch than expected. The elastic at the waist barely stretches; maybe because it is so wide? But does not hold these up in any way. The crotch is short. Due to all this, these barely get on and do not stay in place. After a few hours of sleep they are down around my thighs. I’ve managed to find a pair of sleep tights I already own that at least keep them up higher for more than a few hours so I can use these now that I’ve bought them and the fact that I have limited other options.

    I gave these 2 stars because at least they are available in larger sizes and seem well put together. Buy larger sizes with caution.

    Needs more coverage

    The absorbancy is adequate for heavy flow in the gusset region, however for larger sizes the coverage should be extended further towards the front. The coverage currently stops just at the edge of where a "gush" could happen if you've been sitting any extended time and there is not a way to bring the underwear far enough forward to fix this problem during everyday use.

    Not TSA Friendly

    Today I learned these undies will garner a pat down from TSA due to their thickness. The lady who patted me down said it’s actually common. What on earth!? Anyway I’m glad I wore them so I can be comfy and not worry about leaks on my flights. I love the comfort and protection these underwear provide otherwise, but I feel like they need to come with a warning.
