For medium to light absorbency. Built for when your period is easing out of the heavy days. Also great for everyday pee leaks!

Absorbs up to 4 regular tampons worth of flow.

Hi. I’m the perfect pair of high-waisted for when your flow begins to lessen, or for birth control periods. What’s a birth control period!? Well, when you just don’t know what’s coming. I’ve got light padding so I’m great for bulky-phobes but you’ll be shocked at how absorbent I am. Not toxic shocked though! Phew. Let’s leave that to the tampons. I’m also great for periods that can’t quite end and for panty-liner lovers. I’m made from super soft brushed microfiber with an organic cotton gusset. I also bring a light mood with me. You’re welcome.

When to wear: medium days, light days, what the hell, everyday!

How long will one pair of Period. last?

Everybody periods differently so it’s tough to be exact. Our average time is about 8 hours on a heavier flow day. Though some customers need to change after 3 to 4 hours, and others can go up to 14 hours (lucky them!). As your period gets lighter, one pair can take you through the day and night (just like regular underwear). But again, everybody Periods differently, so you need to take one cycle to figure out exactly how often you need to change. Start with a conservative estimate on your heavy days, and check in on your Period underwear after 4 hours. If you still feel good, give it another hour. Keep going until you figure out your limit. Here at Period, we find we need between 3 to 4 pairs on the first two heavy days, including evenings. And if you leak, please forgive us! Just this once. (Remember how many tampons you have forgiven). Treat the ‘leak’ as a gift and note the hour of your leakage. That is the best indicator of your ‘flow threshold’ how long the underwear will last for you.

Message from a Star Fish: I wanted to tell you that on this rare instance, I’m not the star. You are. By wearing just one pair of Period, you’ve saved the world from 4 tampons that will take generations to decompose and let’s not get into pads. Thank you from the bottom of the ocean.

    Worth the spare change!

I ordered these panties and they came in just in time for my honest review to be conducted. To summarize, I've already placed and received my second order which included another pair of these babies. The trim around the top has started to come away at the seam but that doesn't change their primary function and how well they do it. I wore these during the day around the house and they held up just fine. There wasn't an odor or none different than what we typically handle.

Comfy but ride up a bit

I'm only going to address fit here because I only bought these to wear at night to deal with occasional pee leaks while sleeping. As of yet, thankfully, I've not had any "accidents" so cannot speak to absorbency.

I am pear shaped and have much bigger thighs than average so keep that in mind. I'd like to say that I really appreciate the extended sizes. It's hard to find bigger sizes in period underwear.

So, on the plus side the microfiber is very comfortable and there is no, "diaper," feeling even though they are very high waisted (belly button high). The absorbent layer is limited to the crotch which I think could be a bit longer to catch any wayward drips, etc. There is no tightness around my thighs which is always a consideration for me and the waist does not roll down. They wash and dry fine.

The do ride up my butt at times. It bugs me but not enough that I don't use them. They are just cut differently than my usual underwear and can sometimes shift. I have another brand of period underwear wear and much prefer the cut, however, they are quite a bit more expensive and are based in Canada so the cost plus shipping is prohibitive. These are decent, low cost period underwear.

I will say this (vehemently), I bought both the microfiber and cotton of this style and I 100% prefer the microfiber. The cotton version is constantly up my butt and impossible to get them to stay put. They also feel more bulky and diaper-y because of the crotch panel extending all the way up the…
